Who I Am...

Tom Kelleher Consulting, Inc. is a small custom software development firm based in north-west New Jersey. I consult with my clients’ leadership to understand your specific business circumstances, problems, goals and opportunities – to help determine whether a custom software solution is the most appropriate next step. (Often enough, it's not.)

I have over 20 years experience developing corporate software applications, having built one of the first intranet sites for Merril Lynch's internal Technology Training Department in 1995. I also have a puzzling mix of experience in IT product management, behavioral economics (see TK-BE), technical documentation, training and training development, and corporate video production.

How We'll Work Together...

I'll ask a lot of questions. Every business is different, and things change fast. A top priority this month might be a distant back-burner issue next month. The “corporate moment” is constantly changing, and any software we need to do a lot of things right, at the right time, to be right for your needs.
I'll ask questions about the immediate issue at hand. I'll ask about your past experiences trying to resolve the issue. I'll ask about existing staff, their technical expertise, and your existing software investments. I'll ask about those pending goals and promises already made, that this initiative must support. I'll ask about the corporate culture, workflows, departmental divisions and help size up the overall cultural readiness for various solution options.

New software changes things. It changes some work patterns, eliminates others, and sets new ones in motion. It can be complicated. I work to understand what you are and what you're trying to be, before recommending a plan. And I'll stay nearby after, to settle things into place, and to set things right that I got wrong.

Mainly...

I help good folks to succeed at doing good for the world. That's what I aim for, with every system I build.
